THE VINTAGE JAPANESE MOTORCYCLE CLUB
The VJMC was formed in 1982 by like minded individuals who shared a passion for owning and restoring classic bikes it became apparent that there was a gap in the classic scene for a club which catered for all of the Japanese marques, the club now has a membership of over 5200 with sections throughout the UK and in many countries in Europe and the rest of the World.
When the Club was asked to sponsor the Endurance Legends Classic and Concours Show, we were only to pleased to have the opportunity to organise what proves to be a first class array of machinery from all corners of the classic scene.
It seems only natural be part of what no doubt will be an excellent weekend of classic racing with something for all those who share a passion of owning restoring and riding classic machines.
The weekend provides a platform for members of classic clubs to be part of an excellent display of classic bikes of all makes whether already classics in their own right or those which are fast becoming future classics.
No doubt like many of our members you either owned or know somebody who owned one or perhaps several of what are now iconic bikes such as to name but a few a Kawasaki Z1, a Honda CB750 four, a Suzuki GS1000 or a Yamaha XS1. I remember like it was only yesterday standing outside the window of my local dealer thinking perhaps one day I might be lucky enough to own one of the above.
On behalf of the VJMC and the organisers of the weekend can I extend a warm welcome to the Classic and Concours display and to thank the other classic Clubs who are represented for helping to make the display a success, I am sure that everyone is looking forward to taking part in the weekends activities, meeting friends old and new, you never know you might find that classic you have been looking for for years, there might even be the opportunity to parade your pride and joy.
Please make sure you visit the classic display I am sure you will not be disappointed by the standard and quality of machines.
