A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT ENDURANCE LEGENDS
Endurance Legends was set up to recreate some of the great motorcycle endurance races from the 1970's and 1980's. Classic motorcycle endurance racing is now very popular in Europe but no one has put together the team to bring it to the UK, even though there are many British teams competing overseas. . . until now!
We have a lot of experience in organising successful track days as Classic Bike Track Days and are working with the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club who are helping to co-ordinate this exciting new race event
Rob & Darin
Darin’s and Robs passion for big bruiser endurance bikes and classic endurance racing stems from the seeing GSXRs and big Zs battling on track ‘back in the day’, and after running a number of successful trackdays for classic bikes over the past few years they both agreed that it was time to recreate this level of racing that’s been sadly missing in the UK for decades . . . hence Endurance Legends was born!
Steve is Endurance Legends chief track instructor as well as being a MotorSportVision Motorcycle Track Instructor for 8 years and a qualified ACU Race Instructor with almost 40 years experience in the saddle!
Steve used to race in the good old days riding a Suzuki X7 and later an RGV250 and still loves the old stuff. He still gets great satisfaction from tutoring riders and seeing them progress through a day when being instructed and watching their speed and confidence improve
Sally has been invaluable in assisting with the Supplementary Regulations for the Endurance Race and the Final Instructions, drawing from her wealth of experience as a CRMC committee member. In addition to attending the ACU Road Race committee meetings, Sally is currently Secretary of the CRMC and the Lansdowne Series, as well as Race Secretary for the Goodwood Revival motorcycle races, and a Clerk of Course for the CRMC race meetings
Gordon has been involved with the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club for many years, as a Chairman and Eligibility Officer. He has spent many hours working with Rob & Darin on the eligibility rules for the endurance event, drawing on his own experience from racing such bikes “back in the day” and many years involvement with the CRMC, the Lansdowne Series and the Goodwood Revival
Another key man involved with the CRMC as Race Entries Secretary, Sponsorship Co-ordinator and much more. John’s experience in putting together a race program is second to none and we are very grateful for his knowledge, experience and help in this project
Mark runs it’seeze Websites Peterborough and has combined his knowledge of websites and internet marketing with his passion for motorcycle racing to create the Endurance Legends website. Mark races in the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club (where he is the current Chairman) and also in classic motorcycle endurance races in Europe. He is also involved with the popular Classic TT event as the eligibility officer
